Agricultural Biotechnology

Agriculture and biotechnology are among the fastest-growing industries in the United States. Students learn how biotechnology can improve food production, sustainability, and public health — while developing entrepreneurial skills through farm-based enterprises.

Learn by Growing It

Students are assigned agricultural plots at the Canoe Creek Rec Center where they learn sustainable farming, food production, environmental stewardship, and business management. Through student-operated farmers market initiatives, learners gain firsthand experience in budgeting, sales, marketing, logistics, and customer service — a complete educational cycle connecting science, agriculture, entrepreneurship, and community service.
